Judith “Judy” K. Pollei
Judith “Judy” K. Pollei, age 79, of Mapleton, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Mapleton Community Home, with family by her bedside.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, Mapleton. Visitation will be one hour before service. Interment will be in West Delavan Lutheran Cemetery, rural Delavan. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
Judith was born November 6, 1944, to Daniel L. and Lillie M. (Sommer) Wick in Mapleton. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1963. After high school she worked for a dry cleaner. Judy was united in marriage to Donald Pollei on August 26, 1967, at St. John Lutheran Church, Mapleton. She later worked for Country Neighbors Assisted Living, Olson Tichenor Funeral Home, and Fron’s Hardware.
Judy was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was very active. She was on the church council, quilting group, ladies aide, and taught Sunday school.
Judy enjoyed reading, traveling, needle point, card games, and especially her cats.
Judy is survived by her brother, David Wick of Winona; niece, Debbie (David) Volkmann of Winona; nephews, David (Natalie) Wick of Mankato and Dennis (Angie) Wick of Delavan; several great nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald on June 27, 1995; infant brother, Harlan Wick.
