The Blue Earth County Board meeting was held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in theBlue Earth County Historic Courthouse, Commissioners’ Room, was attended by Commissioners Kip Bruender, Patty O’Connor, Kevin Paap, Mark Piepho and Vance Stuehrenberg.
Also,present were County Administrator Bob Meyer, County Attorney Pat McDermott, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie Jahnke.
Commissioners voted 5-0, unless otherwise noted:
•Approve a resolution regarding the future of the CSAH 9 Bridge and Rapidan Dam.
•Approve a resolution to Kelly Meger, for an after the fact interim use permit to operate a diesel mechanic shop (Jamestown Township).
• Approve a resolution to Gerald O. Schaefer Living Trust, for an interim use permit to operate a short-term rental (Jamestown Township).
•Approve a resolution to Gerald O. Schaefer Living Trust, for an interim use permit to operate a short-term rental (Jamestown Township).
• Approve a findings and order setting the redetermination of benefits public hearing
for County Ditch 51 (Ceresco Township).
Approve the findings and order setting the redetermination of benefits hearing for
County Ditch 91 (Sterling Township).
• Approve the findings and order setting the redetermination of benefits hearing for
Judicial Ditch 20 (Sterling and Lyra Township).
•Approve a violation notice on County Ditch 5 for an unauthorized outlet (Danville
Township).
•Approve a resolution to allow staff to submit a PFAS Source Identification and
Reduction Grant Application.
• Authorize the distribution of Opioid settlements funds.
•Approve the August 13, 2024, Board Minutes.
• Approve the bills as presented.
• Approve position grade adjustments as part of the job description classification maintenance review process.
• Approve the establishment of a MinnPACE Special Assessment Application and Petition Agreement for Old Town Holdings, LLC.
•Approve the modification and amendment to the Northern Natural Gas easement (Mankato Township).
