Public invited to “Friends and Family Day” at MnDOT and State Patrol Mankato headquarters on October 10

Public encouraged to visit and learn about transportation, safety, and career opportunities

MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation and State Patrol invites the public to attend a “Friends & Family Day” open-house style event on Thursday, October 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. at their facility located at 2151 Bassett Drive in Mankato.

Visitors can tour the facility, see equipment displays, obtain information about services focused on transportation and safety, and explore career opportunities at MnDOT and State Patrol. The public will also have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about what MnDOT has planned for road and bridge projects.

Snowplow and heavy equipment displays

State Patrol K-9 demonstrations

Repair shop for heavy equipment

Laboratory for road material testing
